Matapos ang ilang buwang espekulasyon, kumpirmadong parte ng cast ng Philippine adaptation ng hit Korean series na Descendants of the Sun sina Jasmine Curtis-Smith at Rocco Nacino.

Inanunsyo ito ngayong Huwebes, June 20, sa MOA signing ng partnership ng GMA Network at ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na siyang mag-te-train sa mga cast members ng upcoming Kapuso series.

Gagampanan nina Jasmine at Rocco ang second lead roles bilang Moira Defensor at Diego Ramos.

Sumikat ang Descendants of the Sun dahil sa tema nitong may kinalaman sa pagiging makabayan kaya para kay Rocco, mahalaga na maipakita sa telebisyon ang tamang proseso ng isang military operation sa tulong ng AFP.

Aniya, "I will give my all sa mga training so rest assured po na you will receive the cooperation from all the actors na magawa namin ng maayos and 'yung techniques ng tamang proseso ng mga ginagawa ng mga sundalo.

"We're excited to make the Philippines proud through this show."

Samantala, hindi naman makapaniwala si Jasmine na sa kanya ibinigay ang role ni Moira kaya labis ang kanyang pasasalamat sa GMA. Ang Descendants of the Sun ang kanyang ikalawang serye sa Network.

"Firstly, thank you so much to GMA and AFP for trusting us, actors, to portray an incredible role that, of course, represent not just the characters in the original story, but also our military man in our country.

"So thank you very much and I'm very, very excited to portray the role of Moira," saad ng 25-year-old actress.

Si Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes ang nakatakdang gumanap sa lead role bilang Captain Lucas o "Big Boss."

Gayunpaman, hindi pa ini-re-reveal kung sino ang gaganap sa papel ni Dr. Maxine Kang.

Nakatakdang ipalabas ang Descendants of the Sun soon.
