“I think I'm at the age na where I can be daring and I can be pa-sweet.”
This was how Kapuso actress and former StarStruck alumna Liezel Lopez started the conversation during the contract signing with GMA Artist Center yesterday, July 2.
The 21-year-old actress made this statement when asked how open she was to accepting a more daring role in the future.
She continued, “I see myself as an instrument lalo na kung may mga bagong roles.
“Kasi kung hihilingin ng role na kailangan medyo daring, may skin na nakikita, it's fine with me. Ayaw ko naman na maging barrier ko 'yung pagiging conservative type.”

But if given a chance to pick a role, the Olongapo native said she'd love to play a psychotic woman for a change--a role that's definitely far from the good girl image she's set when she started in 2016.
“Actually ang pinaka-dream role ko talaga is 'yung mga psycho.
“Kasi sobrang challenging niya and mahilig akong manood ng mga documentaries online tulad ng Netflix, learning their stories and all.
“I dont know kung bakit ko rin pinili 'yun basta parang nafa-fascinate ako sa kanila.”
Liezel added that she'd love to work with acclaimed actresses in the field “lalo na sila Ms. Cherie Gil, sila Ms. Jaclyn Jose, 'yung mga seniors sa industriya.”
Now signed for another year, Liezel admitted that she's happy to call GMA her home and she's grateful for the chance to prove her versatility as an actress.
“Sobrang saya ko po ngayon kasi ayan binigyan na naman ako ng [GMA] Artist Center ng bagong year to work with them. And I'm very, very, lucky and blessed.
“Kasi before I joined StarStruck, wala talaga akong alam in show business.
“Simula nung pumasok ako sa StarStruck at tinanggap ako ng Artist Center sobrang na-feel ko na at home ako dito. Kahit na ako lang mag-isa dito sa Manila, dahil nasa Olongapo 'yung family ko, sila na 'yung naging family ko.”
