
The biggest names in GMA-7 came in full-force to show their support for the grand 'pink carpet' premiere night of the family drama movie starring award-winning comedian Michael V. and Dawn Zulueta held on Tuesday night, July 23 at SM Megamall cinema.
Not one but three cinemas were needed for the hundreds of people who flocked to watch the premiere night.
Present in the event were GMA Network Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong, GMA Films President Atty. Annette Gozon and SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable.
Also in attendance were Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Vice President for Drama Redgie Magno, First Vice President for Corporate Strategic Planning and Program Support Regie C. Bautista. Kapuso lady executives Bang Arespacochaga and Janine Piad-Nacar also graced the successful event.
Dawn Zulueta, who saw the film for the first time, lauded her leading man and director Michael V. for making such a wonderful piece of work.
She said during the interview with the press, “Oh it was much more than I expected. When I read the script I was already laughing, but here I was laughing and crying. Hampas ako nang hampas sa kanya (laughs) ang galing!”
“I guess yung treatment ni Direk, siya rin nagsulat eh. I found it from the script pa lang nung binasa ko. Sabi ko this is interesting. I'm curious to see how he is going to actually pull this off and you did (saying to Michael V.) it wonderfully I have to say,” Dawn added.

Meanwhile, Mic Test Entertainment Executive Producer Carol Bunagan was so overwhelmed with the reactions of the people who watched the film on the premiere night.
She pointed out that her husband (Michael V.) achieved his vision for Family History.
“It's so overwhelming tsaka nakakatuwa kasi on cue those parts na ine-expect ko sila tumawa, tumatawa sila. And those parts na expected mo silang quiet, quiet sila. So mukha naman na-achieve ni Direk Bitoy yung kanyang objective, yung kanyang vision.
The Kapuso ace comedian said that the family drama movie was inspired by real-life stories of people close to him.
Michael V. explained, “Hango sa totoong buhay pero pinagsama-samang buhay ng ibang writers na kasama ko, mga kaibigan ko. Minsan kahit sa mga magulang humuhugot ako.”
Several A-list celebrities also went to see the movie like Alden Richards, Manilyn Reynes, Jessa Zaragoza together with her husband Dingdong Avanzado and Jayda Avanzado.
The cast members of 'Pepito Manaloto' and 'Bubble Gang' were also there to show their love for Michael V.
Family History is Graded “B” by Cinema Evaluation Board and is now showing starting today, July 24!
