Kapuso actor Alden Richards feels humbled after receiving the Asian Star Prize at the prestigious Seoul International Drama Awards this afternoon, August 28.

Held at Kyung Hee University, the actor walked down the red carpet wearing a sleek navy suit and gave his signature smile towards the awaiting paparazzi.

During his speech, he said, “It is such an honor to receive this award.

“As a Filipino, I am very humbled and grateful to be recognized in the international scene along with so many amazing and talented artists here tonight.

“This award is also extra special to me because it comes at a time when we are celebrating 70 years of friendship between the Philippines and Korea.

“Thank you to the Seoul Drama Awards Committee and the Korean Broadcasters Association.

“As actors, it is always our hope to make more people happy and inspire them with our passion. Kamsahamnida!”

The Seoul International Awards, simply known as SDA, is an annual award ceremony based in Seoul, South Korea which honors excellence in television drama productions worldwide.

Alden was awarded together with Miura Haruma of Japan for the Asian Star Prize.
