Making marriage work and last really takes teamwork.
This is what Kapuso Primetimes Queen Marian Rivera learned after being married to Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes in 2014.
She narrated to Aubrey Carampel during their 24 Oras interview how she and Dingdong plan out their free days monthly.
“Ini-schedule talaga, once a month.
Marian stressed that a busy schedule shouldn't get in the way of marriage.
“So, dapat siguro sa isang relasyon hindi nawawala 'yun kahit anong busy niyo.
“Give and take talaga.
Kailangan 'yun sa relationship,” she said.
Marian also recounted how Dingdong takes time to call her up to check on her and the kids to make sure they're safe.
According to the Kapuso actress, her husband consistently did this even when he has a weak phone signal while out-of-town taping for the local adaptation of Korean drama Descendants of the Sun, where Dingdong playing the lead male role.
While her husband is preparing for Descendants of the Sun, Marian is slated to make a comeback in drama anthology Tadhana and variety show Sunday PinaSaya after her maternity leave.
