Veteran actor Dante Rivero won best actor award at the Fantasporto-Oporto Film Festival for his performance in 'Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon.'

Inquirer also paid tribute to late actors Eddie Garcia, Tony Mabesa, and Kristoffer King.

Meanwhile, 'Ma' Rosa' actress Jaclyn Jose was given a special tribute for her remarkable win at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. She remains to be the only Filipino actor to win in the said prestigious award-giving body.

In a short interview during the program, Jaclyn said that although she already has a number accolades under her name, she never gets too picky about film projects.

She explained, "Number one sa akin talaga is 'yong craft, e, my acting, my belief in the script and in my director.

"So, kahit indie 'yan, gagawin ko.

So, 'yun ang pinagpapasalamat ko."

Jaclyn also takes pride in Filipino films.

She mentioned, "Maraming-marami na talaga tayong actors and filmmakers na nakarating na talaga doon, we're there.
