Sharon Cuneta says that the state of her family and marriage “have never been happier.”

Hours after Frankie Pangilinan took a swipe at President Rodrigo Duterte for his comments about the supposed marital status of her parents, Megastar Sharon Cuneta has officially addressed the matter on her own hands via her Instagram account.

Dated December 1st, Sharon said that it came as a shock that the President claimed that she has been asking husband Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan to move out of their home.

“I just spent the whole day with Kiko, Miel, Miguel, ZsaZsa, and Conrad on our farm, so this piece of news sent by Kakie kinda shocked me!” she wrote.

“I dunno if it's true that the President, my 'Tatay,' really said this, and I haven't been able to see or speak to him since before my brother's campaign for Mayor!

“So I don't know where this is coming from, honestly. If my husband and I separate, you'll hear it from me!

“I don't think anyone expects an announcement of this sort from the President of their country!”

He has joked a few times against Kiko and about me in the past! Please rest assured that all is fine with my family. My stress comes from other people and things, but right now my family and marriage have never been happier! God bless you all! Love you guys. Wait for my post on YouTube of our day today at the farm!❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😘😊🤗 @frankiepangilinan @kiko.pangilinan

Sharon further pertained to the issue as a “joke” coming from the President of the Philippines and reassured fans that the state of her marriage has “never been happier.”

Duterte made the claim on Saturday in Caloocan City to commemorate the 156th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio.

“Pinapaalis na nga ng asawa niya sa bahay niya, ayaw kay wala ibang matirhan. Totoo. Tanungin mo. At kung sabihin mo nagsisinungaling ako, I will resign. Ang sinabi ko totoo 'yan,” the President said.

Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan have been married since April 28, 1996. Together they have two daughters and one adopted son. Kiko is also the stepfather of actress KC Concepcion whom he legally adopted.
