GMA News and Public Affairs personalities were recognized by the Gawad Filipino Year-End Awards today, December 5, 2019, held at Tanghalang Pasigueno, Pasig City Hall Complex.

GMA News and Public Affairs bagged a total of 11 awards including 24 Oras as the Best News Program of the Year, Anong Say N'yo as Best News Commentary of the Year, Super Balita Sa Umaga as Best News Program of the Year.
Also included in the awards list are some prominent GMA News and Public Affairs news reporters and anchors like Mike Enriquez who took home the Media Icon Awardee, Susan Enriquez as Best Program Host and News Anchor of the Year, Atom Araullo for Best Program Host of the Year for Mobile Journalism, and Cata Tibayan for Best TV Host for Entertainment and Lifestyle.
Similarly, Joseph Morong and Rowena Salvacion both bagged the Journalist of the Year award while Malou Mangahas won Best Documentary Host of the Year.
