GMA dropped the surprise teaser for Voltes V Legacy, a live-action adaptation of iconic anime Voltes V during the New Year.
The teaser was met positively as netizens sang praises for the excellent quality of the CGI or computer-generated imagery.
YouTube vlog Pinoy Toy Reviews compared scenes from the teaser and scenes found in the original anime.
He called the new design of the Voltes V robot as well as the places like Camp Big Falcon "interesting" and "modern."
Meanwhile, Khyz Tomas a cosplayer and entrepreneur, compiled comparison screenshots from the teaser and the 1977 anime.
The animation for Voltes V Legacy will be produced by GMA in partnership with Riot Inc., a local post-production company.
It will be directed by Mark Reyes.
