Mel Villena related that for him, the utmost factor for a laudable singing act is the right choice of song.

Renowned musical director Mel Villena shared some key points for kids who want to join GMA's newest friendly yet word-class singing competition for kids, Centerstage.

Mel is one of the panels of judges that will screen the adorable and talented kids aspiring to get to the stardom through Centerstage.

According to Villena, it's important to train the participants' vocal and over-all performance long before the auditions begin.

Maliban du'n, importante 'yung choice of songs na inyong kakantahin.

He also related that for him, the utmost factor for a laudable singing act is the right choice of song.

Joining Mel as Centerstage judges are Concert Queen Pops Fernandez and Kapuso vocal powerhouse and West End singer Aicelle Santos.

Catch Mel Villena on Centerstage on GMA Primetime, February 16.
