Mayor Isko Moreno awarded as People of the Year 2020


Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko" Moreno Domagoso was recognized by People Asia as one of its People of the Year 2020 awardees at an event held last night, February 20. Congratulations, Yorme!

Lifestyle magazine People Asia held its annual People of the Year 2020 awards night last February 20 where they gave recognition to various Filipinos who carved their own paths in their respective fields.

One of the People of the Year 2020 awardees was none other than Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. According to People Asia, Mayor Isko's inspirational story and his achievements as incumbent mayor of Manila warrants such distinction.

"This mayor is a man of the people, chosen by the people. His journey from garbage boy to matinee idol, from councilor to one of Manila's most beloved mayors, didn't happen through magic.

"From lighting up Jones Bridge to restoring peace and order in Manila, we have only this man to thank."

People Asia also named Gary V, Lea Salonga, Kathryn Bernardo, Michael Cinco, Sen. Sonny Angara, Benedicto Cabrera, Chef Jessie Sincioco, Sheila Romero, Dr. Henry Chusuey, Myrna Yao, Sec. Berna Romulo Puyat, Takashi Oya, Alice Eduardo, and Andrew Tan as the People of the Year 2020 recipients.

Dubbed as Mr. Pure Energy this artist rose from a young singing sensation in the '80s to become a total entertainer who dances, acts and even hosts.
