Prima Donnas actress Aiko Melendez gave her two-cents on the controversy surrounding the wedding of Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli.

The "secret civil wedding" of the couple made headlines last week after Matteo allegedly punched Sarah's close-in security detail Jerry Tamara after Sarah's mother, Mommy Divine, came to the ceremony uninvited.

Matteo denied that he "punched" anybody but admitted “some unexpected events” happened.

Aiko, who worked with Sarah and Matteo on different occasions in the other network, said that Sarah did her best to provide for her family and it's high time she prioritized herself.

“She's of age, and kahit papaano naman, napatunayan na ni Sarah G. 'yung pagiging obedient niya as a daughter,” Aiko said.

“Nandyan 'yung nagtrabaho siya all her years. I can say that because I'm also a breadwinner.

“I've served my family well. It's about time also that we should give back naman 'yung happiness nung bata, which is you know, fighting the one that she truly loves, which is si Matteo.”
