Thai actor Matthew Deane Chanthavanij, who is part of 'The Crown Princess,' revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Thai actor Matthew Deane Chanthavanij, a supporting role in the hit lakorn The Crown Princess as Prince Wil, has tested positive for COVID-19.

He revealed this on his Instagram account via a short video urging those who he has had close contact with to undergo the necessary precautions.

"This is NOT a joke, for those that have been in close contact with me the last few days please take precautions I have the Covid -19 virus," he wrote.

Aside from this, he also posted a picture of his laboratory test results.

A day before he made his announcement, the Muay Thai boxing gym which the actor owns has also been closed for disinfection.

The Bangkok Post also reports that television network Channel 3, where Matthew has been working, closed an entire floor for two weeks for disinfection.

As added precaution, the entire office, bathrooms, and elevators will also be sprayed by disinfectant.

The network has also asked staff who had been in contact with the actor to self-quarantine for 14 days.
