
Owe My Love actress Lovi Poe on Monday asked her followers' support in raising the much-needed funds for the benefit of street children amid the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine due to 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) crisis in the country.
Lovi reached out to the public through a video posted on her Instagram account.
She said, “Our street children need your help and compassion now more than ever. This pandemic has led to scary and uncertain times for many of us.
“In the past days, @childhope_ph has joined our frontliners distribute relief but we need to help 500 more families so they can have food to eat as the days go by.
"If you can, please donate to Child Hope Philippines. A thousand pesos can feed a family for one week, but any amount is a big help and financial assistance will go a long way.”
She also stated on the post the details on how people can send their donation.
Child Hope Philippines is the first international movement founded in the country which advocates for the cause of street children.
Prior to this, Lovi has been using her social media influence to encourage fans and followers to donate money for the production of hazmat suits, which is one of the personal protective equipment (PPE) being used by medical frontliners.
She has also expressed her gratitude towards health workers, researchers and volunteers who continue to work to help the global's common goal, to contain the spread and soon end the coronavirus pandemic.
Aside from this, as a body fitness enthusiast, the so Kapusexy actress also shared some activities to do during home quarantine.
And first in her list is to strengthen immunity through exercising.
