heart evangelista on publicizing her relief efforts

Heart Evangelista clarified that a majority of her donations amid the COVID-19 crisis are not publicized on social media.

“Don't worry. My likes in heaven is my priority.”

The statement above was written by Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista after a netizen criticized her for posting her donations amid the ongoing crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

In one of her posts on Instagram, the user commented, “There's something innately wrong about publicising one's 'generosity.' #justsaying.”

To which she respectfully answered, “Don't worry. My likes in heaven is my priority."

“Majority of what I do for God will never be seen on social media.

"I post some that need to be highlighted and donating to Sorsogon is something that I need to do because we need everyone's help.

“We are so far away from everyone and we need to do our best to make Sorsoganons comfortable.

"So to all my sponsors who have been donating and helping me, this post is for you.”

Similarly a fan graciously thanked the Kapuso beauty but clarified that she need not post it on social media.

He wrote, “Thanks for your kind hearted donation. However, you don't need to post it in social media.

"God sees everything you do. The public will appreciate it and God owes you a blessing.”

She reiterated, “I only post those that need to be highlighted. I don't post everything.”

In a following Instagram post, Heart clarified that she's been asking herself if its necessary to publish what she's doing to help others but claims she only did it so it can reach more people.

She wrote, "PS: I was debating whether or not to put it out here but I know that by doing so, I'll be able to reach more people, and therefore be able to help more.

"I've been doing what I can and helping in little ways I know how so if there's anything at all that I can do to help out, just message me on my Twitter account [heart021485]."

Seeing what's happening in the world is heartbreaking and I know we all feel a little helpless because we are confined in our homes. But I hope you all know that just by staying at home, we're actually helping save lives. 🙏🏻 ⁣ ⁣ What I've come to realize over the past few weeks is that the things we used to take for granted are what matters most-- spending time with family and taking comfort in the simple things in life. 😌 ⁣ ⁣ PS: I was debating whether or not to put it out here but I know that by doing so, I'll be able to reach more people, and therefore be able to help more. I've been doing what I can and helping in little ways I know how so if there's anything at all that I can do to help out, just message me on my Twitter account (heart021485). I check my messages every morning and afternoon and I plan to do this for as long and as much as I can. I just want to be able to share the blessings that I have received to those who need it more. In the end, material things don't really matter. All we really need are love, life, and happy memories that we can bring into the afterlife so I want to do my part in making others' lives easier, better, and happier. ❤️ Sending all my love to everyone. This too shall pass. 🙏🏻
