SHINee comeback

Shawols have a reason to be excited as SHINee started a countdown for their much awaited comeback.

Shawols, get ready because our kings Onew, Key, and Minho have started the countdown for their return as four-member SHINee!

On April 11, the group surprised their fans with a revamped version of their website that now counts down to Onew, Key, and Minho each finishing their mandatory military service.

Their social media platforms, specifically Twitter, bore the words: “2020 SHINee's back. The countdown to shining SHINee's D-Day has started.”

Onew's countdown started with D-100, Key's at D-179, and Minho at D-218.

Because of this tweet, fans are wondering if this could mean a possible comeback for the group once the three members have returned from their military service.

While the members have all been busy as a soloist before, SHINee's last group release was their 10th anniversary project, “The Story of Light” which included 16 songs in 2018.

Onew enlisted on December 10, 2018, Key enlisted on March 4, 2019, and Minho enlisted in the Marine Corps on April 15, 2019.

Fellow SHINee member Taemin also released his solo album last year titled “Famous” under Universal Music Japan and debuted in supergroup SuperM in October 2019 with their lead single, “Jopping.”

SHINee is a popular South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment that is composed originally of five members but dwindled to four after vocalist Jonghyun committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning.

They debuted in May 2008 with their single “Replay” but gained attention in the music scene with their follow-up singles “Ring Ding Dong” and “Lucifer.”
