Madonna also clarified that she is currently not sick from the coronavirus.

Queen of Pop Madonna shared on Thursday evening, May 7, that she's probably had the coronavirus that's why she had to cancel her concert in Paris back in February early this year.

Although she is currently not sick, she clarified that she had tested for antibodies which may mean that she's had the virus.

She told her millions of followers on Instagram, “To clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus --- I am not currently sick.

“When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show at the time.

“We all thought we had a very bad flu.

“Thank God we are all healthy and well now. I hope that clear thing up for the bandwagon jumpers! Knowledge is power!”

The announcement follows the reports that Madonna raised more than $1.1 million to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation towards the development of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Im Grateful that I can be a part of supporting Research to Find the cure for Covid -19!! 🙏🏼 And just to clear things up for people who would rather believe sensationalist headlines than do their own research about the nature of this virus-- I am not currently sick. On February 22, Madonna called off her concert at the Grand Rex in Paris citing “ongoing injuries.”

At the time, news reports announced that Madonna suffered torn ligaments in a knee that had her struggling during a previous concert before bursting into tears.

She wrote on Instagram, “Here I am --- flesh and blood. If only knees didn't twist and cartilage didn't tear and nothing hurt, and tears never fell out of eyes… But alas, they do and I thank God for this important reminder that we are human.

“I fell two nights ago on stage when a chair was literally pulled out from underneath me by mistake and I landed on the floor on my tail bone.

“I made it through the show last night but just barely because I hate disappointing.”

She then called off two other concerts after French authorities banned large gatherings in order to prevent the ongoing spread of the virus in the city.
