Lim and from The Book Run 2010 flyer. While promoting his first project sa Yes Pinoy Foundation, Dingdong gave iGMA an exclusive interview and even convinced us to join him as he runs for a cause. "First project ito ng Yes Pinoy Foundation that is why we wanted something light and something fun. At the same time it is for a good cause," ang masayang kuwento sa amin ni Dingdong. Although sobrang busy at aminadong hindi masyado nakapag-prepare, he assures us that definitely tatakbo siya. "I am going to run, probably sa 5k. Hindi ko naman siya ka-career-in. It is for a good cause at iyon ang priority natin. At the same time, we are there to have fun and to entertain people and to have a nice, bright sunny Sunday." The proceeds of Book Run 2010 will go to Dingdong’s Yes Pinoy Foundation. “Ang Yes Pinoy Foundation ay para sa mga scholars. Educational foundation siya, so ang lahat ng cash proceeds ay mapupunta sa scholarship fund. And then ‘yung books na makukuha natin, ido-donate sa mga libraries na nasira at ire-rehabilitate ng foundation,” shares Dingdong. He adds that they are aiming to have at least eight scholars by June this year. “Ang beneficiaries muna namin mag-uumpisa sa mga anak ng mga sundalo, so dun muna kami. It goes into a process and then when they give us the recommendation, we screen it as well. I give the final say kung sino.” Kaya naman sobrang excited si Dingdong at the prospect of helping these kids and with Book Run 2010, palapit na ng palapit sila sa kanilang goal na makatulong sa mga batang ito. Gagawin ba nila itong book run every year? “Yes, I would like this to be a yearly thing, kaya itong first run na ito, kami talaga ang nag-organize nito from scratch. So it is reallly like a pet project for us, especially for me. First time ko to organize this kind of event so it is fun at the same time I’m learning. The next run siguro will be mas malaking challenge for us.” Marian by his side Of course, we couldn't let him go without asking him kung ni-require ba niya ang kanyang girlfriend na si Marian Rivera to run this Sunday. “She’ll be there, but I don’t know what category she will be in. Sabi ko nga hindi niya kailangan tumakbo eh, pero kung may kasabay ako sa gilid eh di mas okay,” ang nakangiting sabi ni Dingdong. And we confirmed this with Marian herself, who is not only running but is actively promoting and convincing people to join the run even on the set of Darna. “Oo, pipilitin ko, at saka depende kasi kung anong oras ako matapos sa taping ng Darna, pero if ever hindi ako makakatakbo, sisiguraduhin ko na nandoon ako para sumuporta at higit sa lahat ako ang magbibigay ng mga prizes at awards,” ang nakangiting sabi ng very supportive girlfriend ni Dingdong.
