Ramirez, Photos courtesy of GMA Network Sa press launch ng pinakabagong telefantasya ng GMA, ang Panday Kids, nagpakitang gilas ang tatlong batang gaganap sa title role, sina Robert 'Buboy' Villar, Julian Trono at Sabrina Man. They demonstrated stunts and fight scenes, showing members of media how much they deserve to be part of the TV project. Actually, they bested out more than 800 kids who auditioned for such major roles. "Aside from the fact that we picked the best of the best to be part of the Panday Kids cast, we also made sure that our child actors have all the training they need to be exceptional in their respective roles," ang paunang mensahe ni GMA Executive Vice President and COO, Gilberto R. Duavit Jr. Idinagdag pa ni Mr. Duavit na hindi biro ang paghahanda na ginawa ng cast para pagandahin ng husto ang bagong prime time show ng GMA. "We have Wushu experts from China to train our lead stars for the fight scenes. Kaya pag nakita ninyo ang galing sa pag arte ng ating mga batang bida sasang-ayon kayo na talaga namang hindi sila dapat ismall-in. Inaasahan po namin na ang Panday Kids ay maiibigan hindi lamang ng mga bata, kung hindi pati ng magulang at mga nakakatandang manonood," he noted. Ang Panday spin-off Ang Panday Kids ay hango sa celebrated masterpiece ni Carlo J. Caparas, ang all-time Filipino classic, Ang Panday. The story will feature the adventures of three ordinary kids chosen by the age-old prophecy to fight and save humanity against the evil forces of Lizardo. "Marami nang ipinagkatiwalang obra, ang National Artist na si Carlo J. Caparas sa GMA, bawat isa sa kanila ay tinangkilik ng ating mga Kapuso. Nagpapasalamat kami, na ipinagkatiwala na naman niya sa amin ang pagsasa-telebisyon ng isang istoryang hango sa kanyang number one classic na Ang Panday," said Mr. Felipe L. Gozon, Chairman, President and CEO of GMA Network. "Kaya naman siniguro namin na pinagbuhusan ng atensyon at panahon ang produksyon nito. Sa pinakabagong programa naming ito, patutunayang muli ang galing ng GMA sa paggawa ng telefantasya. Sana maibigan at tangkilikin ninyo muli ang espesyal na handog naming ito na sa aming pananaw, perfect for all kids and for all adults who are kids at heart." Adding star power to the cast are Christopher de Leon, Iza Calzado, JC de Vera, Polo Ravales, Jolina Magdangal, Ryan Eigenmann, Jackie Rice, Jose Manalo, Gelli de Belen, Tirzo Cruz III, Pen Medina, Marissa Delgado, Nanette Inventor, Bernard Palanca, Isabel Granada, Rich Asuncion, Akihiro Sato and Marvin Agustin as Lizardo. Under the direction of Mike Tuviera, Panday Kids boasts of top-notch production values with production design created by Rodell Cruz and exceptional visual effects by Imaginary Friends and Santelmo Inc. Parokya ni Edgar composed and interpreted the theme song of the series.
