Chris is about to shoot a music video to promote 'The Only Thing,' and he talks to iGMA.tv about his upcoming re-imaging and how SOP is helping OPM artists.
To further promote his album, 'The Only Thing,' Chris Cayzer revealed that he will be undergoing a re-imaging. Why and how, we'll let Chris tell you himself. Text and Photo by Jason John S. Lim. "It's kinda like I want my own signature." ‘Yan ang reason na binigay sa amin ni Chris Cayzer regarding his upcoming new image. With this, Chris reveals to iGMA.tv that he plans to focus on music for 2010; but this doesn't mean he's closing his doors on acting. "If acting roles come along, yeah, I'm open. Pero singing talaga is my forte, it's my area—that's really where my heart is." Pero kailan ba mangyayari ang re-imaging na ito? Chris tells us that they plan to start it with his music video which "we're shooting very soon." And as for what kind of re-imaging this is exactly, Chris says it's more of creating his own style lang. He clarifies na while he is going to the gym more regularly now, he's not gearing towards going sexy. "Hindi naman;" he says he wants people to focus on his music. "I want to be known as a singer." Future Gigs Last January, Chris had a series of intimate shows with his band where they experimented with a new sound. Chris tells us that at present, "gusto kong mag-reinvent ng mga materials namin, bago magperform [ulit] sa mga gigs." For now, he wants to focus on promotion for The Only Thing, "I really just want to promote this album; push it." Chris says he's actually very happy with SOP Fully Charged because it allows him, and his fellow musicians, a venue to show people the material they've got. "Tuwang-tuwa kami [that] we get to do a Vocalistas production; kami nina Kris [Lawrence], Miguel [Escueta]. Tuwang-tuwa kami kasi napo-promote 'yung mga kanta namin." "[Siyempre] kung gusto ng mga tao 'yung isang kanta, bibili sila ng CD." Chris continues, "it's a good way to promote OPM (Original Pilipino Music."
