JYP debuts Japanese girl group NiziU with debut single 'Make You Happy'

Korean music label JYP Entertainment has launched its new girl group NiziU, made up of Japanese members. The group released its debut single "Make You Happy" on June 29.

The feel-good pop song has a summer vibe and also features a cameo from the head of JYP, Park Jin-young.

"Make You Happy" was uploaded on YouTube on Monday, June 29, and has accumulated over five million views in 24 hours.

NiziU also released a pre-debut mini-album Make You Happy' today, June 30th, which includes songs "Baby I'm a Star," "Boom Boom Boom," and "To Beyond the Rainbow."

The nine-member girl group was formed through the survival show Nizi Project. The current members are Yamaguchi Mako, Hanabashi Rio, Katsumura Maya, Oe Riku, Arai Araka, Ogou Mayuka, Suzuno Miihi, Nina Makino-Hillman, and Yokoi Rima.
