Text by Karen de Castro. iGMA.tv had the chance na makausap sina Daniel Matsunaga at Fabio Ide sa press conference ng kanilang new movie, ang indie film na D' Survivors. At the event held last April 23 at The Lounge in Tomas Morato, Masaya silang nagkuwento tungkol sa naging experience nila sa paggawa ng movie. “I’m Tetsuya. In the movie, we are a bunch of models that crash in the island. I’m a [cook], but in the movie, I’m narcoleptic. It’s fun. It’s funny,” kuwento ni Daniel tungkol sa kanyang character. “This movie is a comedy where I play a vain guy called Rodrigo. I’m the guy that’s always masaya,” says Fabio. “I have some small, sexy scenes where I have to swim and just walk along the beach. Sobrang nakakatawa ang pelikula.” Aside from portraying fun characters, another unforgettable part about D' Survivors for Fabio is Camarines Sur where it was filmed. “We shot the movie in Caramoan [Island], pinakamagandang place,” Fabio shares. “I think the most memorable thing about this movie would be the place. That place was like, whoa! From the moment we arrived on the set, we were [enjoying and] having fun. The energy is really, really nice.” Masaya-masayang din sila to have worked with each other and with their friend, ang kapwa nila Brazilian-Japanese model and actor na si Akihiro Sato. “I know them for so long,” says Daniel. “They’re like brothers for me. We have no competition between us. We’re good friends. It was really fun to do scenes with them.” Ganoon din ang naging sagot ni Fabio. “It’s just so much fun. When you live in a country like the Philippines, for example, and you are able to work with people [that are] not just from your country, but [are] also you’re friends, it’s really nice.
