After being hospitalized for more than a week, Ernie Dela Cruz, father of actresses Angelika and Mika passes away.
Angelika Dela Cruz is heartbroken over the death of her father, Ernie Dela Cruz, who passed away today, July 4.
Angelika wrote: "Daddy, you are my best friend, ang kakampi ko sa lahat... I'm heartbroken dahil iniwan mo 'ko agad..
"I love you so much, Dad. Mabuti kang tao na maraming tinulungan... pahinga ka na... Rest in peace, Dad..."
"Masaya ako para sa'yo at magkasama na kayo ni Edward... till we meet again... mahal na mahal kita #daddysgirl"
Angelika is referring to her brother Edward who died of a road mishap 10 years ago.
The Dela Cruz patriarch was hospitalized last June 23. This was confirmed by Angelika and sister Mika in their separate Instagram posts. On July 2, Mika also gave an update on her father's condition and said that she's hopeful.
