The much-awaited comeback episode of Wish Ko Lang will pay tribute to a wonder nanay named Joan, portrayed by actress Chanel Latorre.

In a statement given to GMANetwork.com, Chanel said that she has so much respect and admiration for mothers like Joan.
“Joan is a fighter who remains positive in her outlook in life despite its circumstances and limitations.
“She is a woman who despite the odds of this pandemic, found an unusual solution to problems surrounding her family.
“I see women like Joan everywhere, more so during this pandemic.
“The 'madiskarte' types who found ways so that their families didn't go hungry.
“Be it suddenly becoming home-based entrepreneurs, online workers or manual laborers.
“I truly admire all of them and it is pretty amazing to have their stories told.”

Moreover, Chanel has expressed her high regard for another woman, one whom she has worked with in the pilot episode of Wish Ko Lang, director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo.
“Direk Sig is an intensely passionate director who I have always admired.
“She is any actor's dream director who seeks to improve every performance per sequence.
“From this episode alone, I learned so many tips from her.”
