Grant Imahara, host of 'MythBusters' has died of an aneurysm. He was 49 years old.
Grant Imahara, one of the hosts of the Discovery Channel's very popular series MythBusters has passed away.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, his sudden death was caused by a brain aneurysm.
He was 49 years old.
MythBusters co-host Adam Savage took to Twitter to pay tribute to Grant.
"I'm at a loss. No words. I've been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I'll miss my friend," he wrote.

Kari Byron, who has worked closely with Grant in MythBusters and in Netflix series White Rabbit Project, posted a photo of Grant with her and Tory Belleci, another MythBusters and White Rabbit Project co-host.
"Somedays I wish I had a time machine. @ToryBelleci @grantimahara," she wrote.
Meanwhile, Tory also shared a hilarious photo of him and Grant to say goodbye.
"I just cannot believe it. I don't even know what to say. My heart is broken. Goodbye buddy @grantimahara," he wrote.

The Discovery Channel also mourned the loss of Grant.
"We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family," they said in a statement.
Prior to joining the third season of MythBusters, Grant worked at Lucasfilm, where he made models using animatronics.
He was involved in films like The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Galaxy Quest, AI: Artificial Intelligence, Van Helsing, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and the Star Wars prequels.
