After a long wait and a couple of teasers later, YG Entertainment has finally confirmed that August 7 will be the debut date of their newest boy group TREASURE.

The South Korean label announced the release date on social media together with the group's concept teaser on YouTube.

According to the one-minute clip, the members' goal is to take a step into the global market.

TREASURE member Bang Ye-dam said, “We will take our first step into the new world. This one step will change everything. No matter how hard it gets, we will believe in our path. And this will is going to shake the world.

“We call this, the TREASURE effect,” before panning out to show the light created by the 12 members covering the entire Earth

TREASURE is composed of members Choi Hyun-suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Mashiho, Jaehyuk, Asahi, Bang Ye-dam, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo, and So Jung-hwan, and will become YG Entertainment's largest boy group.

Their debut has been long-awaited by fans since winning the survival program “YG Treasure Box” in January 2019.

As of this writing, the hashtags “#TREASURE_DEBUT_AUG07” and “#TREASURE_THEFIRSTSTEP” has landed the top 5 spots in Philippine Twitter.
