'Quarantina Gothika' was made in honor of the late director, Peque Gallaga, one of the masters of Philippine horror movies.
Solenn Heussaff, G Tongi, and Michelle Gallaga are main actresses of the horror trilogy, Quarantina Gothika, that takes place during the lockdown.
The movie features three dark stories, titled "Solitaire," "In House," and "Hello Mom," which are top billed by the respective actresses.
Michelle is joined by her daughter, Sophia, in the "Hello Mom" episode.
Quarantina Gothika is produced to pay tribute to the late multi-awarded Filipino filmmaker, Peque Gallaga.
Solenn shared its trailer, which was entirely shot through Zoom, on her Instagram account on Tuesday, July 20, coinciding her 35th birthday.
According to the Kapuso actress/host, their scenes were "self shot from home in this new normal."
A Gallaga-Reyes feature presentation, Quarantina Gothika follows the story of three women facing peril under lockdown.
"It is a very nice project to take part of, [at] 'yung script ko din sinulat ng anak ni Direk Peque [Wanggo Gallaga], so it's very nice and very heartwarming that we all came together for this passion project.
"Sana magustuhan din ng mga manonood," Solenn said in an interview with 95.9 Star FM Bacolod.
Quarantina Gothika will be released on August 1, 7 p.m., on the 'Remembering Peque Gallaga' Facebook page.
It is directed by Lore Reyes ("Hello Mom"), Christian Acuña ("In House"), and Jo Macasa ("Solitaire").
