K-pop idol Jeon Somi's music company The Black Label has partnered with Interscope Records and Universal Music Group worldwide.

Jeon Somi's teaser for "What You Waiting For"

Interscope Records also handles girl group BLACKPINK's projects in the US.

Somi told American news portal Variety in an interview, "I'm very excited to join the Interscope and Universal Music family.

“They have a great roster of artists I love and a long history of breaking acts. I'm looking forward to the next steps in my career and can't wait to share my music with the world!”

The Korean-Canadian-Dutch singer has been busy promoting her comeback. She appeared in Korean program Radio Star, where she revealed that she was once set up on a phone date with famous Korean athlete Heo Hoon.

Somi is also slated for a music video comeback on July 22 for "What You Waiting For" where the 19-year-old singer shows her growth and elegance.
