Chariz Solomon gets real about her finances amid the pandemic
Chariz Solomon is just one of the many individuals whose jobs have been affected by the present pandemic.
She admitted that she had a hard time managing her finances at home because her sources of income, such as tapings and events, were cancelled.
Despite this, Chariz feels blessed because she got herself out of the difficult situation as TV productions gradually resumed.
"So natuwa ako kasi saktong paubos na talaga 'yung pera ko, biglang nagpa-taping na so taping from home so sasahod na kami.
"September may sasahurin kami kasi nag-taping na kami ng Bubble Gang so happy kami kasi kaming mga artista, per day din kami bayad.
"Hindi binibigay kaliwaan pero no work no pay talaga.
"So 'pag 'di ka nag-taping ngayon araw, wala kang sweldo ngayon so okey naman," Chariz shared during the Q & A portion of her Facebook live for Descendants of the Sun last Thursday, July 23, where she shared her healthy meal recipe.
The Kapuso actress then commended GMA for being generous in times like this.
While she's grateful for having the opportunity to earn again, she confessed that it's enough because her expenses go higher, especially now that she needs to provide for her two growing boys, Apollo and Ali.
"GMA is kind to us naman to give us cash advances no'ng enhanced community quarantine pa so it got us by.
Aside from tapings, Chariz found ways to make ends meet.
As an added source of income, she put the things she no longer needs up for sale.
Magkano rin 'yun 'pag [pinagsama-sama]," she shared.
While money issues are probably the most common thing that many people are dealing with during this unprecedented time, Chariz realized that it is not all that matters.
"My realization is that true happiness is not money talaga kasi ako I was always worried na paubos na 'yung funds, 'yung ipon wala na, talagang broke levels na.
