In an article written by Fil-Am journalist Mikey Sutton and uploaded on pop-culture online magazine Geekosity, Sutton revealed that he's working on his very own comic which features Kate as the main character.

This project of his started when he met GMA Lead Visual Designer Noel Layon Flores who's worked on the Encantadia 2016 remake and the upcoming Voltes V. Together, they aspired to create a comic book featuring a "Filipina protagonist with extraordinary powers."

Sutton originally wrote a lighthearted shojo-type comic which according to him, "veered from his comfort zone," and after months of writing, his work left much to be desired.

He then suffered a stroke which left him hospitalized for months. After being released from the hospital, Sutton accidentally came across Kate when he saw her on-screen in Onanay which his mother was watching at the time.

Seeing Kate gave face to this Filipina protagonist he wanted to write.

It wasn't until Sutton was able to personally interview Kate through Flores's connections that he finally found the right direction for his story. During their conversation, Kate mentioned loving the horror series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix which made Sutton completely "drop the shojo and go full-on horror."

In his article, Sutton shared a few exclusive images of Kate illustrated by Flores which you can view, here. He also said that the comic is scheduled to be published in 2021 and will share more details as its release date nears.
