
Korean stars Kang Ha-neul and Son Ye-jin are in talks for taking on the lead characters in upcoming Korean historical drama Pyeonggang, Cut to the Heart.

The two actors' agencies announced on August 25 that the two are still negotiating their casting.
Korean media reported Kang Ha Neul's agency stating, "His casting isn't confirmed. He's received the offer, and it's one project he's reviewing."
Similarly, Son Ye Jin's label said, "She's receiving a lot of screenplays for movies and dramas.
It's just one project she's received an offer for."
Son Ye-jin played the lead female role for the 2019 hit drama Crash Landing On You.
She is currently endorsing a local telco brand with CLOY co-star Hyun-bin.

Meanwhile, Kang Ha-neul won the Best Actor award for his lead role in When The Camellia Blooms at the prestigious 56th Baeksang Arts Awards.
