StarStruck alumna Nadine Samonte has been staying away from the limelight for years now and she revealed that she still doesn't have plans of returning to show business.

Aside from the fact that COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed lives and has caused threat on public health, Nadine also cited her children as the reason why she's not yet ready to resume her showbiz life.

“Tsaka ang balita ko kapag nag-taping ka hindi ka pwedeng umuwi," she said, adding, “Wala pa naman. Wala pa naman ako sa ganu'n.

"Parang hindi ko pa nakikita 'yung sarili ko na babalik sa ngayon. Wala pa siguro kasi I have kids pa na maliit, e,” she said in an interview with 24 Oras.

Currently, Nadine is busy with her dried fish business which, according to her, is gaining favorable reception from the public.

“I'm happy. Overwhelming talaga 'yung reception ng tao.

“Actually ngayon, ang ginagawa ko is the second batch.

"So, per batch ang ginagawa ko every week, kukunin ko muna 'yung mga orders nila, reserve tapos ipapadala ko pagdating dito.

“Kasi, ayokong magtago ng dried fishes. Gusto ko kasi laging fresh from the province,” she added.

Actually matagal nko bumibili nyan and lagi kami mern dito sa house kasi fav din ni heather ang danggit and dilis. Etong mga dried fishes na to are fresh from Masbate tapos unsalted lahat kaya masarap. We sell by batches etong mga andto ngyn lahat sold out na po. Hindi ako nahihiya na magbenta ng ganito kasi sa panahon ngyn kelngn natin maging madiskarte and hindi nakakahiya kasi masarap tga😅😊 Ang sabi ng asawa ko the new D&D queen daw ako ng south hahaha meaning? Danggit and Dilis hahaha😅😅😅
