GMA News and Public Affairs programs and personalities will now represent the Philippines to compete with other Asian entries in the finals of Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore this December.

Several GMA News and Public Affairs programs won as the National Winners at the recently concluded Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020.

GMA News Pillar Jessica Soho was recognized as the Best News Anchor for GMA's flagship newscast 24 Oras while Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho clinched the Best Infotainment Program award.

Drew Arellano is Philippines' bet for the Best Lifestyle Host for Biyahe Ni Drew: Taiwan's Secrets to Long Life, while Atom Araullo's The Atom Araullo Specials was named as the country's Best Documentary Program.

Another GMA documentary program Reel Time's “Ang Huling Saklolo ni Marcelo” bagged the Best Short Form Content award, while 24 Oras's “Lakad sa Edsa” won as the Best Single News Story.

The aforementioned shows and personalities will now represent the Philippines to compete with other Asian entries in the finals in Singapore this December.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards is an annual competition held in Singapore that recognizes the works of excellence in content creation and media production across 16 nations including Philippines, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, China, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.
