Carla Abellana left a message for animal owners who are unable to evacuate their pets during a calamity.
The Kapuso actress posted a photo of a dog covered in mud and chained while responders trying to cut the dog's chain.
She wrote, "IF YOU CAN'T EVACUATE WITH THEM, PLEASE UNCHAIN THEM. Please unchain your dogs and unlock their cages if you cannot evacuate with them during times of emergencies or disaster. Please. Would you rather they run for safety or be left with no choice but to die?
She also credited animal rescue foundation PAWS Philippines for taking action in saving abandoned animals. Carla added, "The PAWS Disaster Response Team is currently in Provident Village Marikina - a heavily flooded area at the height of the storm- to extend relief to pet owners and their pets affected by Typhoon Ulysses."

She is currently preparing for the lock-in taping of the GMA drama Love of My Life.
