After 18 months, SHINee member Minho is back from the military on Sunday, November 15.
Minho enlisted in the Marine Corps back in April 2019, and according to COVID-19 protocol, he is allowed to take his final leave on October 27 and be discharged.
However, the K-pop idol decided to give it up and stay at the army base to help train his juniors and participate in its defense drills.
On the day of his discharge, he mentioned to the press and his fans, “I will greet you all! Victory!
“I never imagined a day like this would come, but I'm so grateful that so many people waited for me. As a South Korean soldier, who has finished his service, I'll show you that I'll work my hardest 'til the very end.
“Thank you for coming!”
Similarly, a handwritten letter was posted on SHINee's official website that said how excited he is to meet his fans.
It read, “To my SHINee World! My SHINee World, whom I love! Salute! This is sergeant Choi Min-ho reporting that I have been discharged!
“The day has finally arrived. It still doesn't feel real, but I am excited and thrilled!
"To our Shawol, who believed in me and waited for me, get ready to run everywhere with Choi Min-ho. I love you!”
