Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa confirms he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa on Saturday revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

“I'm sorry to inform you that I tested positive for Covid19 yesterday. To all who made contact with me, please do the appropriate protocols,” dela Rosa said in a statement.

According to a report from GMA News Online, this was also confirmed by the senator through a text message.

Dela Rosa said four of the people in his household have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Aside from him, his eldest daughter, driver, and household helper also contracted the infection.

"Negative si mrs. Apat kami positive. Ako, my eldest daughter, driver at katulong," the senator said.

"Ako lang may ubo," Senator dela Rosa added.

"He's okay naman po," a member of Dela Rosa's legislative staff told GMA News Online.
