Tom Holland as Spider-Man

Get ready to see Spider-Man battle with Doc Ock in the upcoming flick!

Former Spider-Man star Alfred Molina is reportedly set to reprise his role in the web-slinging superhero franchise.

According to a news report by The Hollywood Reporter, the English-American actor will return as Doctor Otto Octavius, a.k.a. Doc Ock, in Spider-Man 3 with Tom Holland.

It can be recalled that Molina's character was the nemesis of Spider-Man in the 2004 film, which starred Tobey Maguire as the friendly neighborhood superhero.

Tom Holland's Spider-Man franchise is slated to appear on movie screens come December 17, 2021, with Jon Watts as its director.

Other information about the movie includes Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as Doctor Strange, while mainstays like Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are expected to return.

Jamie Foxx will also return as Electro, after playing a role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which starred Andrew Garfield.

With Molina's involvement, this ties together three generations of the Spider-Man series fueling more speculation that the third movie will feature a multiverse storyline.

Will Doc Ock lay one of his metal tentacles to Tom Holland's Spider-Man? Stay tuned.
