Richard Yap on transferring to GMA Network, "Incredibly thankful and blessed to be welcomed into my new home."
GMA Network added another brilliant artist to its roster after TV-movie actor Richard Yap signed a management contract under GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) yesterday, December 16.
Richard can be recognized as the chef in previous commercials of Chinese-cuisine food chain Chowking. Then, he became a household name when he played a role in the daytime series Be Careful With My Heart.
Present during the contract signing were GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMAAC Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMAAC Senior Talent Manager Joy Marcelo, and Richard's co-manager Kate Valenzuela.
On his Instagram post, Richard said he looks forward to new beginnings as a Kapuso after a very challenging year.
“Incredibly thankful and blessed to be welcomed into my new home.
"After a year of so many trials there is always something to be thankful for.
"Thankful for new beginnings in my new home network as a Kapuso.
“Thank you for the warm welcome my Kapuso family especially to Ms. Lilibeth Rasonable, Mr. Simoun Ferrer and Ms. Joy Marcelo and to my Team RY Jan Navarro and Rod Flores and of course Kate Valenzuela.”
Likewise, Richard expressed his appreciation to his former home network..
“I would also like to thank the network where I started with, ABS CBN for giving me the opportunity to work with them, for all the love you have shown me while I was there with you.
"To ABS-CBN Bosses, thank you so much for all your support. I can never thank you enough for everything.”
He ended his post by thanking his loyal fans for always supporting him no matter what.
“Thank you also to my ever loyal Richennatiques for always being there for me.”
In a quick chat with GMANetwork.com, Richard mentioned that he is eager to work with so many Kapuso stars including Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Solenn Heusaff, Andrea Torres, and his good friend Jean Garcia.
Several celebrities congratulated Richard Yap and sent their well-wishes to him like Matteo Guidicelli and Eat Bulaga host Paolo Ballesteros.
Aside from Richard, Khalil Ramos and Luis Hontiveros have also decided to make the big switch and signed a contract with GMA Artist Center.
