December 21 is now twice as meaningful for Rodjun Cruz, Dianne Medina, and their son, Joaquin. This special date isn't only their wedding day, it's also the day they welcomed their baby boy to the Christian world.
Exactly a year ago, Rodjun and Dianne exchanged vows in a grand, star-studded wedding ceremony held at the Manila Cathedral. The couple tied the knot after a two-year engagement and after being in a relationship for over a decade.
Dianne marked their first anniversary by sharing their wedding video on her Instagram account.
She wrote, “Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary my love @rodjuncruz. Thank you, Lord, for everything. Today is also our baby Joaquin's Baptism Day. Love you Rj and Baby Joaquin so much.”
Rodjun and Dianne's first year of marriage was immediately blessed when they conceived their first child. The couple announced their pregnancy on Easter Sunday in April.
Wearing the hats of first-time parents may have been challenging for them but blessings continued pouring in when Dianne gave birth to baby Joaquin in September.
Exactly a year after their wedding, the couple held their baby's baptism. The actress-host shared snippets of their intimate christening ceremony via a separate Instagram post.
“Thank you Lord for all the blessings,” Dianne wrote.
Since the couple observed the health and safety guidelines against COVID-19, they kept their party small and simple. Only selected guests attended baby Joaquin's baptism which included Rodjun's brother and fellow Kapuso, Rayver Cruz, and Dianne's cousin, Maxine Medina.
Maxine shared her photo with her inaanak, saying, “So happy to see you baby Joaquin! Ninang is here for you forever.”
Some of Baby Joaquin's godparents and his parents' friends, meanwhile, had to join them virtually through a video call. This includes Bea Binene and Marco Alcaraz.
Bea shared, “Don't have the complete group photo because I was in the car and just used my phone. Still happy to witness the ceremony even if it's online.
“Happy christening, baby Joaquin! I hope to personally see you and your parents soon!”
Marco also took his greetings to his Instagram Story and wrote, “Happy anniversary @rodjuncruz, @dianne_medina.”
“Welcome to the Christian world baby pogi @babyjoaquinilustre.”
