Winwyn Marquez

Winwyn Marquez had the time of her life when she saw K-pop boy group BTS in Japan.

It may have been a year since Winwyn Marquez took a solo flight to Japan, but the memories remain clear as she recalls her memories from her very first BTS concert.

Titled “Japan 2019 Travel Vlog Pt. 1,” the beauty queen and actress shared snippets of her trip and, of course, the concert proper of the Korean pop boy group.

“I'm finally here in Ecopa [Stadium] and sobrang nagulat ako sa dami ng tao,” she began at the 9-minute mark.

“It's such a long walk, but I have to figure out everything kasi para akong na-culture shock. But, I'm here, guys.”

During the vlog, Winwyn revealed that concert-goers were not allowed to document the concert. That's why she didn't have proper footage of the septet.

She added, “Bawal ang cellphone sa stadium. Where I was seated, may dalawang pinalabas 'cause they were caught taking videos of the concert proper.

"Hindi na ako nag-attempt na mag-video talaga. I think I just took photos sa end na talaga nung hindi na nagpe-perform 'yung guys.

“But, oh my god! I'm so happy. I thought hindi ako makakanood [ng concert], but thanks to Minagi, an ARMY, she's very helpful sa akin. She was super kind.

“Thank you sa lahat ng J-ARMYs. We didn't really speak the same language, but we had so much fun at sa concert.

"They were so kind. We were dancing sa seats namin at nagkakaintidihan kami even though we don't speak the same language.

By the time she got home and collected herself, Winwyn shared her favorite parts of the performance, which of course included her bias's solo stage.

“Singularity is the best for me just because Taehyung is the god of flirting,” Winwyn declared.

“When he performed, oh my gosh, super natulala ako. Hindi ko ma-explain. Tapos 'yung rap line, their production number was so, so hot. I was just so happy to watch them. My first concert, here in Japan pa.”

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Winwyn revealed that BTS helped her get over her breakup with ex-boyfriend Mark Herras.

She said, “Sobrang swak sa akin nung lyrics. E, kakahiwalay ko lang sa boyfriend ko nun.

“To be honest, walang echos, it helped me. It diverted my attention to that.

"Hindi ko masyadong naisip 'yung break-up, so it really helped me through a tough time.

"And nagulat din ako na totoo pala siya. Kasi, nababasa ko na ito 'yung effect nila to other people. So for me, na-experience ko din siya.

“It's like I don't want them to be my boyfriend, but I want them to be my best friend.”
