TV personality Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West are allegedly considering divorce and are undergoing marriage counselling, according to E! News.
A close source to the couple said Kim has not filed for divorce officially because she "wants more than anything for their relationship to work."
E! News also stated the source said, "It's gotten to the point where they haven't spent time together as a married couple in months."
Kim and Kanye started dating publicly in 2012 and tied the knot in a lavish wedding in Italy back in May 2014.
Hollywood news sources speculate their marriage is on the rocks. NBC News reported the couple is now living apart and undergoing marriage counselling.
While they both want the best for their kids, the two have been staying in different States for the past few months.
Forty-year-old Kim and their four children are living in California while 43-year-old Kanye is in Wyoming.
A source told NBC news, "Kanye loves his extended family. They are super close. They have been going to therapy. They are working on their marriage."
Kanye has spoken up about his struggles with bipolar disorder, with Kim showing full support and asking the public for compassion regarding her husband's mental health. She addressed her husband's condition in July 2020 in a lengthy Instagram Story.
Kim wrote, "Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor," she wrote. "People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try."
She added, "He is a brilliant but complicated person who is on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his" bipolar disorder."
Kim ended her statement by asking everyone for empathy. "That is part of his genius and as we have all witnessed, many of his big dreams have come true. We as a society talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, however we should also give it to the individuals who are living with it in time when they need it the most."
Bipolar disorder is a mental illness associated with extreme mood swings including periods of depression and mania. In July 2020, Kanye launched a bid for the US presidency and released a speech showing him rambling incoherently, and breaking down in tears.
He also posted a series of tweets, which were later deleted, that hinted at his wife and mother-in-law Kris Jenner trying to lock him up.
The power couple has four young children, seven-year-old North; five-year-old Saint, two-year-old Chicago, and 19-month old son Psalm.
