K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is starting the year strong with a much-awaited online concert called 2021 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW.
BLINKS who have acquired membership access can watch the livestream concert on January 31, 1 PM (Philippine Standard Time) through BLACKPINK's YouTube channel. The livestream concert was originally scheduled to air on December 27, but was postponed due to the rising COVID-19 cases in South Korea.
BLACKPINK members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé have been intensely preparing for the past two months to put out a premium show for all BLINKS worldwide.
BLACKPINK's entertainment label YG Entertainment said in a press statement, “The BLACKPINK members have poured their sweat into putting on a high-quality show together with a live band. We hope that the concert will be a wonderful gift for fans.”
The group's lead vocalist Rosé is also giving a preview of her solo project during BLACKPINK's online concert. A 30-second video teaser of Rosé's upcoming solo track was released on BLACKPINK's YouTube channel on January 25, showing clips of Rosé lying on a bathroom floor, throwing a red rose against a wall, dining alone, and her silhouette flashing against a burning red rose all while her first solo track plays in the background with the lyrics: "All my love is gone. All my love is gone. Now you're dead and gone," she sings over a guitar riff.
YG Entertainment described the song as "completely different from BLACKPINK's music to date.”
