After its successful screening in QCinema International Film Festival 2020, critically acclaimed local horror film, Midnight In A Perfect World, will be exclusively available on streaming site UPSTREAM.ph on January 29.

The movie, produced by Globe Studios, is top billed by two of the sought-after Kapuso stars Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Glaiza De Castro.

Joining them are Love Of My Life actor Dino Pastrano and two-time Gawad Urian Best Actor nominee Anthony Falcon.

In Midnight In A Perfect World, Jasmine, Glaiza, Dino, and Anthony play four friends who find themselves getting caught out in a mysterious electrical blackout that happens after midnight.

As the city lights start going out one by one, they manage to take refuge inside what looks like a designated safe house.

In an exclusive chat with GMANetwork.com, Jasmine talked about the film, sharing its relevance in today's society.

She stated, "It's not just a story about monsters, it's also very reflective of what we have in today's society kasi we have things like curfew, we have to stay indoors, and the characters need to experience these creatures.

"You have to question yourself, 'safe ka ba kapag nasa labas ka? Safe ka ba sa mundo nating ito?' 'Yung mga gano'ng bagay. What is there to fear nga ba."

Midnight In A Perfect World is under the helm of Filipino film critic-turned-filmmaker Dodo Dayao who also directed the critically acclaimed psychological horror film, Violator (2014).

According to Jasmine, Midnight In A Perfect World promises not only a unique story but also a genuine, pleasurable viewer experience.

Jasmine continued, "I feel na it's one of those films na you need to watch in order for you to understand.

"When you watch it, there's so many visual cues that you want to take in as a viewer kaya it's enjoyable to watch, but it's more enjoyable to feel."

This is the first time Jasmine and Glaiza worked together.

However, the Filipino-Aussie actress shared they easily got along.

Jasmine said, "It's been such a great experience working with Glaiza Pareho kasi kami ng mindset pagdating sa trabaho.

"I feel like it's so much easier to make the chemistry gel faster. It made us undertand kung ano patutunguhan ng storya, 'yung gusto gawin ng direktor, ibig sabihin sync kami.

"So 'yun 'yung nakuha kong synergy working on the set of Midnight In A Perfect World."

Jasmine then commended Glaiza's dedication in her craft as an artist.

She added, "Napaka-thankful ko kasi she's one of the best actresses in this generation.

"And I'm glad I got to share the space and the platform with her and have the credit of being next to her.

"Iba 'yung feeling when you get to work with people that you feel that they're proud of their work, filmography din, as well as their art so 'pag pinagsama, parang you feel like it's meant to be, para kang nakipagkasal."

Midnight In A Perfect World also stars Bing Pimentel, Soliman Cruz, Dolly De Leon, Charles Aaron Salazar, and Brian Sy.
