Former Eat Bulaga dabarkads Isabelle Daza shared her life story growing up in the care of her yaya through her self-authored children's book titled “Yaya Luning.”
Isabelle and her family have been treating Yaya Luning as part of their family, so much so that she was included in their family portrait.
To further express her appreciation for her yaya, the celebrity mom wrote a book and dedicated it to her.
Isabelle shared via her Instagram Story, “So I wrote a children's book which is basically an autobiography of my life. I wanted to come from the point of view of someone who grew up with a yaya. @YayaLuning is part of our family.”
She highlighted her relationships with her Yaya Luning as well as her mom Gloria Diaz, and explained that yayas do not compete with the love and attention from one's parents.
She continued, saying, “It explains the dynamic of having a yaya in a family unit. She does not replace the role of the mother. I know a lot of moms feel guilt or shame when the child chooses the yaya / nanny over them sometimes.
“Instead my book aims to convey that a yaya has a special place in a child's heart, one that does not compete with a parent.
“This book aims to give dignity to the yayas out there who selflessly dedicate their lives caring for their 'alagas' / other children and also remind parents that yayas need some love and care as well."
This special bond with yayas is true not just for Isabelle's family but also for other celebrities who regard their nannies, personal assistants, and househelps as their kin.
