Jackson Wang rises from the ashes as he releases the music video for his newest track, “Alone.”
After the success of his emotional track “Should've Let Go,” GOT7 member and soloist Jackson Wang is back to show his musical range in his latest single, “Alone.”
In the 4-minute clip, viewers can see the singer waking up alone in a room and walking around in a deserted area with bruises on his face.
The music video seems to complement the track as the lyrics tell the story of a man who rises again despite the many trials he faced in his life alone with no one to turn to.
The lyrics, as translated to English goes, “I'm alone on the way / Although I often feel a little cold / I'm used to being alone. / Every time I lie on the ground and believe / I can walk again. / I'm alone on the way / Although I feel a little pain / I'm used to being alone.”
Aside from singing in the track, the song was composed and written by Jackson Wang. He also participated in the directing of the music video alongside Ojun Kwon.
By the end of the music video, the Hong Kong-based rapper gave his fans a special message and shared how one must believe in oneself to write one's own history.
It said, “No one can walk our journey instead of us. Many times you'll be lost or lonely. There will be various factors that will stop us from going forward, but we can't give up halfway.
“When we love something, we won't stop challenging, won't stop striving these various ordeals. The process will be extremely tough. After all, there's nothing easy in this world.
“But our love, to us, is greater than anything else.
“And because of this, we slowly get used to the pain, hurt, hatred, injustice, and all the ordeals. Alone.”

Before releasing the music video, Jackson shared that he's making more music under his label, Team Wang.
During his Instagram Live, the K-pop idol said that he has finished recording 10 songs for the album and that he'll be recording four more to complete the set.
“I'm out here in the studio today. It's because, for the past two weeks, I'm trying to clean up all the songs that I've recorded.
“Clean up the whole track and balance everything out. So, today is more of a mixing day than a recording day. I want to get the perfect mix. “
Furthermore, he also revealed to have already planned the music video for one of his tracks, which he plans to shoot soon. The said music video is slated to be released in March, which also happens to be Jackson's birth month.
