Lani Misalucha admits she still struggles with singing after suffering hearing loss from Bacterial Meningitis.

Singer Lani Misalucha admitted that she still has a hard time singing after being diagnosed with acquired deafness due to Bacterial Meningitis.

Nonetheless, she said she is grateful she still gets to sing and was happy to be part of All-Out Sundays anniversary episode last January 31.

She said, "I may be 2 days late but thank you for spending your afternoon with us last Sunday on @alloutsundays7. I cannot thank you enough for pouring out all your love and support to me."

Lani shared how her hearing loss has affected her singing.

"I'm still struggling with my singing. I cannot hear my voice well as well as the music. With the tinnitus being too predominant in my head is oftentimes masking the other sounds around me that also oftentimes driving me nuts."

On a lighter note, she added, "But with all of you cheering me on I'm slowly regaining my confidence. Thank you uli. (may pa heart pa) Join us again this coming Sunday on @alloutsundays7 on @gmanetwork."

In October 2020, Lani and her husband Noli were hospitalized and confined in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital after being diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis, an infection of the membranes (meninges) surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

In a previous Instagram post, Lani opened up about her hearing loss in one year, which she now copes with the help of hearing aids.

"I believe some of you already know about what happened to me and to my husband. Nagkaroon kami ng bacterial meningitis nung October. We are okay naman ngayon. But the problem is 'yung bacterial meningitis na 'yan ay iniwanan kami ng souvenir.

"At ang souvenir na 'yon ay hearing loss at vestibular dysfunction. Like every single day mayroon kaming hilo sa ulo. 'Yung konting movement ng head, 'yung ganyan super nakakahilo na 'yan," Lani shared.

"Ako ang right ear ko ang bingi and 'yung left ear ko ay medyo nakakarinig. Pero ang malala talaga na bingi is si Papa Nolz," she shared in an Instagram video where she also tested her new hearing aid.

She also thanked all the prayers from her fans. "Guys, maraming-maraming salamat sa inyong lahat na nag-offer ng kanilang prayers and thank you so much for your love and support. I love you guys," Lani said.
