Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards has been named the brand ambassador of GMA Now, the new digital TV receiver designed for smartphones.

GMA Now is a mobile digital TV receiver that can be plugged into an Android device and allows you to watch live TV on the go for free.

Alden says that he is proud to be the face of this new piece of technology from GMA Network.

"Before, noong nag-start ako with GMA, I was the face of Kapuso Milyonaryo alongside Tito Joey de Leon. Ngayon, I was chosen as the ambassador for GMA Now, a new technology na ini-introduce sa atin ng GMA wherein your smartphone, your Android phone, can turn into a smart TV anytime.

"Pwede na kayong manood ng TV kahit saan and kahit anong oras pa. It's really an honor. Ang sarap maging ambassador ng mga bagong bagay, especially like the ones of GMA Now," Alden says in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

He says that the thumb drive-sized dongle is perfect for people who don't want to miss out on their favorite shows and be updated on the latest happenings in the world of news and entertainment.

Alden also expresses his admiration for the innovations that GMA Network has been bringing into the market.

"Lagi tayong binibigyan ng mga reinventions ni GMA to make our lives easier, especially talagang para doon sa mga taong ayaw ma-miss or maka-miss ng mga episodes ng mga pinapanood nilang TV shows, especially sa GMA," he shares.

With GMA Now, you will have access to GMA, GMA News TV, Heart of Asia, Hallypop, Dep-Ed TV, and all available free-to-air digital channels in your location and will be able to catch all your favorite Kapuso shows anytime and anywhere.

What Alden likes about the device is that it comes equipped with interactive features which will allow users to stream GMA videos, play interactive games, and get show updates.

"Andyan ang GMA Videos on Demand. Aside from the live broadcast, pwede mo mapanood 'yung previous episodes nung show na pinapanood mo.

"Halimbawa, habang pinapanood mo 'yung live broadcast ng 'All-Out Sundays' or 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,' may option ka na mapanood din 'yung past episodes or 'yung mga nag-trending na scenes, kasi may video playlist siya sa ibaba."

It also comes with a chat feature that will sure be a useful tool and a source of amusement for friends.

"And then there's also the Groupee chat, where you can chat with your friends and get the latest updates about your favorite Kapuso shows.

"Pwede ka rin makipag-chat sa friends mo habang nanonood kayo ng parehong show nang sabay. Di ba ang cool lang, parang pwede n'yong pag-usapan kung ano 'yung eksena na pinapanood n'yo?"
