This was the question actress Dionne Monsanto asked her non-showbiz, Filipino-Swiss boyfriend Ryan Stalder when he finally proposed. The romantic proposal happened while the couple were on vacation in Kandersteg, Switzerland, where Ryan is based.
In a post on Instagram, Dionne revealed that he and Ryan knew one another since 2007 but they only started dating in 2018.
She wrote in the caption, "I said, 'Yes! Why'd you take so long?'"
"Ryan & I have known each other since my PBB season in 2007. Yet we only started dating in 2018 - 11 years of knowing each other.
"Grateful that we were friends first and that we've seen each other grow.
"There's no foundation better than friendship. Grateful that the universe gave me the kindest man ever.
"Here's to forever + 49 years, my love @nayr_redlats."
