Instead of throwing a party for her 80th birthday, Nanay Nenita Samson decided to donate to Smile Train, an organization that helps children born with cleft lip/palate.

An 80-year-old fan of Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza decided to donate to Smile Train, a children's organization that provides free cleft lip/palate surgeries.

Barbie is one of its ambassadors.

Instead of having a party for her 80th birthday, Nenita "Nanay Nita" Samson decided to help children born with cleft lip/palate.

Smile Train Philippines thanked Barbie and Nanay Nita through a post on Instagram stories.

The organization wrote, "Dahil kay @barbaraforteza at Nanay Nita, marami pang batang ipinanganak nang may cleft [ang] matutulungan ng @smiletrain."

Barbie has been the source of Nanay Nita's inspiration and happiness, especially after her husband died.

Before the pandemic began, Nanay Nita always watched GMA's defunct variety show Sunday Pinasaya live.

Now that the pandemic is still ongoing, Nanay Nita gets her inspiration from Barbie's vlogs and GMA's primetime show, Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday.

Thank you for your support, Nanay Nita!
