Like most Filipinos, TV personality KC Concepcion is eagerly waiting for the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine that is said to arrive in the country in mid-February, as announced by Malacañang on Monday, February 7.
On Instagram, the actress shared her hopes for the vaccine, including being offered free to all Filipinos and is more than 90% effective.
She captioned the post, “Me trying to learn about every vaccine available out there -- and trying not to look stressed.”
“Have you guys spoken to your doctors about this?” KC asked.
“I'm also hoping vaccines will be offered for free to all Filipino citizens, like they are in other countries, if they are safe, handled well, and more than 90% effective.
“Ang dami kasing misinformation or conspiracy theories, pero ang dami din namang solid na science behind the facts to all our questions. Lots to learn!”
Recently, KC and events organizer Tim Yap was reported to have paid fines for violating COVID-19 protocols during the latter's celebration, which outraged the public in late January.
KC paid P1,500 and issued a public apology over the Baguio party held at The Manor inside Camp John Hay.
She said on Instagram, “Taking the time to thank our nurses, doctors, frontliners, and caregivers who have been working hard since the beginning of last year.
“To be honest, we are still getting used to our new normal. I quarantined solo for three months. Not leaving my house, trying to be strong home alone to keep myself and others safe, and had no one to lean on. Mentally, it was taking its toll.
“Which it did on so many of us regular people, but most especially on our frontliners who have been working nonstop to keep our communities safe.”
KC added, “I personally apologize for not having kept my mask on 100% of the time during a gathering. It has been two weeks since then, and I hope we can move forward with lessons learned about safety protocols indoors or outdoors when in a crowd.
“I understand the panic.
“Nobody is perfect, revenge travel is TRULY a thing, and in as much as we would like to break free from chains and restrictions to try and keep sane, no. We need to travel more responsibly.”
